Alix Brown cultivated a love of music as a kid growing up in Atlanta, collecting records and then blossoming into a club DJ while moonlighting as a bass player. Eventually making her way Memphis, she would go on to co-found the cult label Shattered Records. But her destiny was New York City, where she took to the decks, flawlessly mixing Euro disco, dance, boogie, R&B, soul, and funk, and quickly became a fashion biz fave DJ. Top fashion brands such as Chanel, Fendi, Gucci, and Valentino were soon jockeying for her time and talent, and she found herself running in the same circles as the likes of Mark Ronson, Keb Darge, Jellybean Benitez and even downtown NYC icon James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem. Currently acting as music director of GrandLife Hotels, she remains one of the most in-demand DJs for high-profile events around the globe.
