Palladium Times Square’s history dates to its opening as the Loews Astor Plaza movie theater in 1974. A $21 million makeover by renowned architect David Rockwell in 2005 saw it reopen as the Nokia Theater concert venue, before rebranding as the Best Buy Theater, then the Playstation Theater. Under its new moniker, it is now regarded as one of the premiere live event venues in New York’s always bustling, high-energy Times Square neighborhood - with a W. 44th Street entrance right in the heart of the action. It boasts an impressive 2200 capacity, three dressing rooms, a green room and a professionally-equipped production office. Most conveniently, there are a trio of loading elevators directly accessing the stage.
