Timka

A 20 year veteran DJ and producer, Timka has performed all around the world. He has worked as a resident DJ and in some instances, music director for some of the world’s top multi-national Asian restaurant brands including Buddha Bar, Hakkasan and Zuma in addition to hot spots like Buddakan and Tao. When not DJing or producing in the studio he can be found curating bespoke music playlists for luxury brands, boutique hotels, and Michelin star restaurants.

  • From packed dance floors in underground Tokyo clubs; sunset beach parties in Bali; and renowned New York City boutique hotel lounges, to 5-star Puerto Rican villas and exotic, oriental chill out bars in Istanbul…as a producer and DJ, Timka has taken many on a music journey for well over a decade. Timka’s first love is House music, in all its sublime forms. Whether creating it, or playing it out, he is equally comfortable in his element, spinning Deep House and Nu Disco, as he is with uptempo, dancefloor shakers and downtempo, electronica inspired sets. Having worked for three and a half years as Music Director and Head Resident of Buddha Bar New York, Timka quickly became accustomed to catering to a discerning listener, as well as being the principal architect of a music policy that introduced New York to some of the world’s top DJ talent.

Timka has also held residencies at many New York hot spots including, BED, The Hudson, Thompson Hotel Bar, and The Morgan. Currently, Timka holds weekly residencies at Tao New York (Uptown), and is the Music Director and resident DJ of Buddakan and Hakkasan NYC. Timka is no stranger to the celebrity and A-List party circuit having performed alongside such Industry icons as David Bowie, Alicia Keyes, Justin Timberlake and John Legend – as well as sharing the decks with such heavyweight DJ talent as Sam Popat, Claude Challe, Stéphane Pompougnac (Hotel Costes), Antoine Clamaran and Behrouz
