Michaelangelo L’Acqua is an internationally acclaimed music branding specialist, who rose to prominence as the music director for W Hotels from 2009-2015, literally raising the bar on hospitality driven nightlife. His development of a proprietary entertainment platform for the brand was a genuine game changer. A decade earlier, he had started out with a bang, musically translating Tom Ford’s design visions for Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent for the runways of Paris and Milan.

Most recently, since launching his own WhiteLabel Creative venture, he has been involved in experiential event production, sensory branding, cultural programming and sonic identity development for brands in the luxury and lifestyle sector, including the new Virgin Voyages cruise line, which debuted in 2020. But when he’s not getting down to business, he serves as Music Director for global AIDS charity AMFAR, and sometimes shares billing with superstar friends like Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Katy Perry, and, yes, even Madonna.

Music is a fluid expression without boundaries for L’Acqua. He doesn’t think in terms of musical genres, rather, he is singularly focused on playing music that can evoke the perfect moment. Whether DJing at a mega club in Ibiza or at a black tie event in Cannes, he knows the way to capture everyone’s heart through his selections.
